Brewery Reviews

Las Vegas / Henderson

  1. Banger Brewing:
    • About the Space:
      • The brewery is located right on the old Vegas strip, so is an excellent spot for people watching. They have some food if you’re hungry and plenty of board games to enjoy a nice evening out.
    • About the Beer:
      • They have the standard offerings, but they also have some offbeat ales where they aren’t afraid to try new concoctions, all of which were above average. Come here if you want something adventurous! The Morning Joe Kolsch and Hop Bang Boom IPA are good options.
  2. Hop Nuts Brewing Company:
    • About the Space:
      • Has a very grungy and dark feel to the place, which is kind of fun sometimes. Chill atmosphere overall, so a nice spot to hang out and avoid the touristy areas of Vegas.
    • About the Beer:
      • Overall the beer is average, but do have some decent offerings. They have 20 beers on tap, 12 of them they brew in house and 8 guest taps. Try the Green Mamba Imperial IPA or Papa’s Red Ale.
  3. Lovelady Brewing Co:
    • About the Space:
      • The brewery is a short drive outside of Las Vegas. We stopped here on our way back from the Hoover Dam Tour. This is a nice taproom with seating inside or out. A nice place to re-hydrate after a hot day in the desert!
    • About the Beer:
      • They have quite a wide range of styles, from your standard offerings to some specialty beers. All of them were very tasty. Some of the better beer in the area. Flights are reasonably priced, so get one to try all their beers! Try the 9th Island Sour or the Love Juice IPA.
  4. Sin City Brewing Company:
    1. About the Space:
      • They have several locations throughout Las Vegas, with a couple right on the strip. Both are good places to stop if you want craft beer, as there aren’t too many quality offerings on the strip. Most people just want to drink… a lot…
    2. About the Beer:
      • They just have the basic 5 styles of beer: Hefeweizen, Pale Ale, Blonde, Amber, and Stout. None of them really were that good, but definitely a much better choice than any macro brewery has to offer.
  5. Tenaya Creek Brewery:
    • About the Space:
      • They built a new taproom from the ground up and it’s gorgeous. Huge bar, plenty of seating, plus room to hang out outside. They have a food truck in the evenings many nights.
    • About the Beer:
      • They have quite a wide range of craft beer offerings, so they will likely have something you will enjoy. I thought all of their beers were quite tasty, so check them out if you’re in the area… or, rather, go out of your way come here like I did! The Imperial Stout and Ugly as Sin Brown Ale are delicious brews to try.
